Monalisa Cargile, the founder of Compassionate Companions At Home started caregiving in the year 2003 at Balboa Island in Newport Beach. She was a caregiver for Mrs. Juanita Thurston who was 98 years old. It was through Mrs. Thurston that she realized she wanted to open a business and serve the elderly. She found dedication in providing good quality care services which she believes could be fulfilled with her extensive connections with caregivers at that time.
Her inspiration, Mrs. Thurston died in 2010 at the age of 105. Taking care of her gave Monalisa the passion to continue in her profession and make sure that anyone who needs a caregiver will have access to quality services in their homes.
